Aim of the project
The project TIE – Technology in Education, The Path to Digital Citizenship aims to promote an awareness on the responsible use of online internet resources and technology in every aspect of life keeping in mind the 9 essential pillars of being a digital citizen. Living in 21st century with continuous advancements in internet technology forces us as digital immigrants and our children as digital natives to use this technology in our daily life, education, career as well as entertainment. The question is no longer about technology, it’s about finding the right ways to use it. Therefore, with this project, our students will understand human, cultural and societal issues related to technology and practice legal, responsible and ethical behaviour. We realize the need for our students to deeply understand this powerful technology and use it in ways that will enhance their individual learning. There are endless possibilities for our students when it comes to showing their learning with technology and our responsibilities as educators is to guide them towards the academic technology. Thereby we teach them that professional and entertainment technology can go hand in hand. We believe that by creating digital citizenship we will achieve this.
