Ice-breaking activity where students point out the main cultural features and personality traits of their people, those characteristics that best define their country and its inhabitants. Just 8 to 10 adjectives or short sentences would be enough.
Cultural visit to Porto
Digital marketing: presentations of students’ works
The topic of the presentations was Digital marketing and the Psychology of Social Media. The presentations were very interesting and different countries approached the subject in different ways. After a coffee break students were split into multinational groups and every group had to create an imaginary product, design a logo and slogan and create a digital advertisement.
Workshop 1: Marketing in the 21st century
Trip to Guimarães
Guimaraes is an old town that has played a big role in the history of Portugal. We went on a very interesting tour around the beautiful old town. After that we had lunch in nice restaurant with a great view of the city and countryside. In the afternoon we visited the Duke‘s Palace in Guimaraes which is a very impressive palace built in the 15th century that has been the site of many important events in Portuguese history.
Workshop 2: “Our influencers”
There the students and teachers presented the result of the City Bingo which everyone participated in on the first day. This included photos and videos of different parts of Porto. We also had special guest, Ms. Veronica Orvalho, who is the founder and CEO of Didimo, which is a company that specializes in digital innovation. She is also a professor at Porto University. She told us about her insteresting life story, work and what it is that makes a person a good leader. Her talks was very inspiring and the students got to ask her their questions.
